January, yes January can you believe that. There for a while I thought December would never end. We had so many parties and may I say incredible parties. We started out with the Men’s Xmas party steak out. Dave and Joe did an outstanding job on those steaks and the ladies, Gloria, Pat, Vicki and Debra great job serving 65, a wonderful dinner. If you have never seen men trying to unwrap a Christmas present with oven mitts it’s a hoot.
We wasted no time going right into the Ladies Christmas Tea and Fashion show. Our beautiful models, Boots, Pat, Nancy and Mary Lou did an outstanding job. The fashions from Paula’s here in AZ City were very nice. If you have not been there go check her shop out. I think you’ll be surprised. Seventy beautiful ladies at High Tea were enjoying finger Hors d’oeuvres and sipping on Mimosa’s.
There was a few day break in there, where we were able to go out and do some much needed Christmas shopping for the big Christmas Eve party. If you have never attended this party you do not know what a fun time you’re missing. To see 102 grown adults stealing Christmas presents from each other. I’m telling you it’s hilarious, down right shameful, but a ton of fun…….! We also announced the winners of the Christmas decorating contest. 1st place Ena Haupt and Granddaughter Alisha @B1 , 2nd Place James & Maryellen Gardener @ E32 and coming up in 3rd place Adam Austin @ E23 with the flying pink Christmas pig.
The following day was Christmas dinner with 145 park family members all sharing their favorite dishes and desserts, add Ham and Roast and the feast was fit for royalty. As always this park knows how to cook. Thank you to all that participated and for those that didn’t, maybe next year. Then it comes to closing our year, New Year’s Eve, we’ll dance 2018 in with Sawmill Grinders and champagne at midnight. There’s 90 signed up to come, I’ll report next month on how many saw midnight.
Before I get on to Januarys calendar I want to personally thank Joe and Debra for hanging in there and doing a wonderful job. I could not do all these events without them. Thanks for doing an outstanding job….
